Keypad, Fob, and Card Access Control Systems — What We Install
Access control is not a single product; it is a category that spans everything from a simple standalone keypad bolted to an existing door prep to a fully networked, credential-managed system with audit logs and time-zone restrictions. Little Rock Locksmiths works across that entire range. For residential and light-commercial applications, we install keyless entry lever locks and keyless entry door lock with knob configurations — meaning you keep the familiar feel of a traditional handle while gaining the security of a programmable code or proximity credential. For heavier-duty commercial doors, we move into mortise lock access control hardware, which seats deep inside the door edge and provides the structural strength that high-traffic entryways demand. Mortise lock keyless entry solutions are particularly popular with property managers along the Highway 10 corridor and with medical offices near UAMS, where both durability and quick re-credentialing matter.
Key fobs and card readers add another layer of convenience and accountability. Every swipe or tap is a logged event, so you can see exactly which credential opened which door and at what time — invaluable for after-hours incidents or employee scheduling disputes. We program fobs and cards to individual users, set access windows so a part-time employee's credential works only during their scheduled hours, and deactivate lost credentials remotely without touching the lock hardware. Our trained technicians are experienced with both wired Wiegand-protocol readers and modern OSDP-encrypted readers that resist signal cloning — a growing concern as tap-to-enter technology becomes mainstream.
